When aircraft carriers return from months at sea, local TV stations cover the event. Norfolk is surrounded by the Hampton Roads harbor to the west, the Chesapeake Bay to the north and Virginia Beach and the Atlantic to the east. Participants can visit Colonial Williamsburg also featuring Busch Gardens Theme Park or the beautiful beaches at Virginia Beach. Showcase your talents to the world at the Hullabaloo and participate in a dance workshop and performance at Chrysler Hall. UNIVERSE OF DANCE is the first organized dance parade event at Universal Orlando Resort ™. This 3-part organized dance event includes a parade performance; dance workshops, with a Universal Orlando dance professional; and the opportunity to perform your own group choreography with Universal Orlando STARS Performance Program (audition & application required) and much, much more. Pilgrims, Native Americans, Soldiers, Patriots, and Pioneers. Bands, floats, and lively dance teams and studios, like yours! Televised throughout New England and streamed World-wide! This is one of America’s only historically accurate chronological parades, visually bringing to life America’s rich heritage representing each century from the 22nd through the 24th. In showing the preservation of America’s history through the years, beginning with the Pilgrim era, we promote an appreciation among our citizens for our rich heritage. The parade is ranked the #1 Thanksgiving parade in the nation. It features beautifully decorated floats representing historic events, honoring national anniversaries and celebrating every period of American history. Dance teams are encouraged to costume in period and join in the fun! Educational and economic factors aside, the parade offers plenty of fun and entertainment to attract visitors from all corners of the United States and even beyond. Viewers are treated to a visual trip back to the colonial days.
